 Having been in the industry for well over 18 years, I’ve worked in almost
 every aspect of the business. People find me to be self-run with a high
 degree of integrity, very personable, & extremely fast in high volume. In
 addition to my experience in the restaurant industry, I've also carried a
 strong focus in more professional pursuits (The Private Professionals is
 but 1 venture to which I am now engaged). The end result is a synergistic
 blend of professionalism, experience, & a core focus on dedicated service.

A Listing of Relevant Work Experience (Industry Related):

The Private Professionals: Serving DC/MD/VA - OWNER.  Offering Private Party Assistance to select clientele throughout the DC metro area. 

Metro Events Adjacent to The Private Pro's (& my marketing company), I also host 3-4 annual events. Each carries 6 DJ's, national & local talent, a fashion show, fire performers, dancers, plus various enticements throughout the evening. These affairs pull over 700 in attendance. As a result, I've gained deep experience in event planning & coordination.

Café 1910: Adams Morgan, DC - BARTENDER / BAR MANAGER. Stylistic restaurant with a fun local clientele. Required to leave as the business was sold. This was the last restaurant to which I was employed

City Blues Café: Woodley Park, DC - GENERAL MANAGER / BARTENDER. High volume blues club set in a casual dinning atmosphere. Employed: 3 years. I was actually offered a minority stake in full ownership, but due to undisclosed tax issues w/ the previous owners the business as a whole fell into default & was shut down pending IRS repossession. Bummer!

That’s Amore: Chevy Chase, MD - HEAD BARTENDER / DINNING ROOM MNGR. Elegant yet casual atmosphere; Northern Italian cuisine with a full service martini bar. Employed: 2-1/2 years.

Perry’s: Adams Morgan, DC - BARTENDER / HEAD SERVER. Upbeat club-style restaurant with rooftop dinning in the heart of Adams Morgan. Employed: 1-1/2 years.

Tony & Joe’s: Washington Harbor, DC - BARTENDER / PATIO SERVER. Very high volume restaurant located in Georgetown’s Washington Harbor. Worked essentially as a bartender on the patio & a swing-shift server when needed. Employed: 3-plus years.

Bilbo Baggins: Old Town, Alexandria - BARTENDER / BAR MANAGER. Intimate wine café & bistro, top rated by Wine Spectator Magazine (to which my efforts were instrumental). Primarily a very upscale local clientele. Employed: 2 years. Please Note: while employed at Bilbo's I was also working on a fill in basis at The Wharf (an upscale jazz club in Old Town).

The Dubliner: Washington, DC - BARTENDER. A classic Irish Pub in the most traditional sense. Very upbeat & rather profound clientele (Mostly Senators, Congressmen, etc). Employed: 2 years.

Rumors: Washington, DC. - SERVER/BARTENDER. High volume nightclub for the singles crowd. Night shift Bartender & Server. Was employed in its prime heyday for a little over 2 years.

Also certified as a Professional Food Handler.

Consultation Services:

In line with my more professional endeavors, I've also consulted several restaurants to improve operational systems, maximize in house merchandising, & to implement high impact marketing & promotions. Most were working to position the business in preparation for an eventual sale. Such clients include but were not exclusive to:

Mayorga’s - Upstart Café & Gourmet Coffee Roaster throughout Montgomery County.
The Wharf - Small but upscale jazz club in the heart of Old Town, Alexandria.
Stella's - Fairly high volume Pub & Cafe located just outside Old Town Alexandria.
